Nursing a headache, wishing that he were dead

Sitting in the stands, watching all the horses race
Grand in his hand, a million more in the bank
He's ordering a drink

He watches the race with a smile on his face
He knows what's going down on the ground

Well a win is a win even if it's a sin
He takes his winnings down to the underground

Riley's pushing sixty, always pushing me around
We're fixing races within a hundred miles of town
We were winning but he's putting me down

So I hatched myself a plan, to steal all Riley's money
Leave him in a ditch, fly off somewhere sunny and warm
Well I wish I was warned

I shot for his heart but I hit him in the shoulder
He shot back and he shot a little closer
(oh yeah he hit the mark)

He left me die and flew to Shanghai
Took my winnings down to the underground

When the cops come found me laying on the ground
ol' Mr. Riley was never found
